This tour is an extremely challenge off-road riding tour. We do not recommend to do it in the rainy season as cause of the extremely difficult riding on the off-road. Mention to offer to the experienced riders and using the professional dirt-bikes only, but we can change some roads for the normal riders and to ride the normal vehicles. We highly recommend you to book the Japanese dirt-bikes to ride for this tour, not using the automatic or the Chinese Lifan cruiser. We also recommend you to book this tour in advance because we can have time to arrange everything for this tour to do it better.
Duration: 5 days – 4 nights.
Travel options: Guided Self-drive.
Departure locations: Sai Gon.
Time: From March to August – Dry season only.
DAY 1: CENTRAL HIGHLANDS – 200 km
Pick up and depart at our VIETNAMRIDER® Travel Company in Saigon. Our professional Tour Leader will help you to escape from the busy traffic by the small roads through the rubber plantations and stop by the broken bridge that used to be the part of the old HCM trail in Vietnam war, visit the Burning Tank memorial in Cu Chi, visit the secret entrance of Cu Chi tunnel at Saigon river, visit the heroic Cu Chi tunnel where you can do the gun-shooting (your options). Did you know who were the first men that explored the Cu Chi tunnels – it’s the Australian soldiers not the U.S army; Tunnel Rats – How it all began: In January 1965 a unique chapter of Australian military history was created when a young Royal Australian Engineers captain called Sandy MacGregor, encountering a Vietcong tunnel system, asked a very pertinent question – does anybody know what’s down there? Sandy’s men in 3 Field Troop answered that by being the first Allied soldiers to explore the Vietcong’s tunnels in Cu Chi – US Army protocol was to identify the entrances and destroy them – thereby creating the legend of the Tunnel Rats. Stay overnight at our 2 stars hotel at the border town.
DAY 2: CHALLENGE OFF-ROAD RIDE – 200 km
Nobody know that our Company can arrange this special tour that starts from Saigon and riding only by the off-roads in South Vietnam. Today we’ll prove you by the full day with the challenge ride on the real off-roads in the south of Central Highlands Vietnam. The temperature is getting cooler on the highlands so will be easier for us to travel in the dirt and sands. This route will take us through the plantations, forests, and high mountains, even somewhere we must ride cross the small river. Enjoy the good local foods and drink at the rest stop along the way. We’ll stay overnight at the 2 stars hotel at a small local town.
DAY 3: FARMSTAY – 220 km
We’ll travel by some back roads through the cashew-nut farms, minority village and the National Park and to cross the southern central highlands. All our Australian riders enjoyed this adventure route a lot, specially when you are somewhere along the 1,000m high mountains and inside deep jungles. Today we’ll stay overnight at the Farm Stay – owned by a Belgian couple; in the middle of the rice fields and coffee farms. You may stay at the private bungalows, next to a waterfall, the flower garden and a pool. You can book the family to cook your dinner and make the BBQ party (your options), have some cold beers and relax next to the camp-fire in the evening.
DAY 4: THE BEACH – 150 km
After 3 days with hard ride on the full off-roads, today we’ll travel by the good road from the highlands down to the coast where we will have a good relaxing time at a resort on the beach at Mui Ne. In the morning we’ll do the ride about 100 km through the racing road along the 1,000 m high mountains and deep jungles. There are some minority villages on the way and the rice paddies, the dragon-fruits farms that will be good to use for the background of the panorama. Depend on your riding skills, we can travel about 50km on the real challenge off-road through the sandy farms. In the evening you can buy some fresh seafood, cold beers and good massage at local shops in Mui Ne beach. Options: stay overnight at the 3 stars resort with private bamboo bungalows and swimming pool right on the quiet beach.
DAY 5: SAI GON – 200 km
Our last night was at a nightclub on the beach with some cold beers and Happy Hour. What else would you ask for more about this trip? As all our customers are really happy of having good time with the ride on the off-roads through the beautiful countryside and that you will never find it yourselves or by any guidebooks or even with the other tour operators. Today we’ll ride back to Saigon by the small back road along the coast and the white sand dunes – not using the Highway 1. End tour.
You can book for one more day to visit the historic site Long Tan Cross that is the old battle-field of the Australian Army in south Vietnam in 1960s. This will be 6 days – 5 nights in total. The Day 6 is for us to travel back to Saigon after spending a night in Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
