DAY 1: HA NOI – BA BE NATIONAL PARK – 250 km
Pick up and depart from your hotel in Ha Noi. Our VIETNAMRIDER® will help you to get out of the busy traffic to the quiet countryside. Our day will run on the back road through the local villages and mountains to Ba Be National Park, do homestay with a Tay ethnic minority family, sleep in their stilt-house.
DAY 2: CAO BANG – 100 km
We’ll do the boat trip to visit Ba Be lake, it’s a beautiful lake in north Viet Nam. From here continue to Cao Bang by the small back-roads. Along the way will visit some Tay, Nung ethnic minority villages and finish at a small local village on the 1,000m high mountain. Do homestay and enjoy the dinner with a friendly family.
DAY 3: THE ROCKY PLATEAU – 150 km
This is the road number 1 of the most beautiful roads in Viet Nam and S.E.A. The place is known as one of the 77 geological parks in the world and the second in S.E.A after the Langkawi Geological Park in Malaysia. The road with the corners is endless to the cloudy sky. You just want to keep riding or stopping for the amazing view along this Rocky Plateau. Stay overnight at a hotel an old village, located on the 2,000m high mountain.
DAY 4: HA GIANG – 170 km
Ha Giang is located in the far north of Viet Nam. It shares a 270 km long border with Yunnan province of southern China, and thus is known as Viet Nam’s final frontier. We’ll need to have a special permit to travel along this route. Ha Giang has many high mountains, including the two highest peaks, namely, the Tay Con Linh (2,419m) and the Kieu Lieu Ti (2,402m) and forests that provide lumber. It has about 1000 species of herbal plants. Fauna include tigers, peafowl, pheasants, and paneling. The town of Ha Giang was heavily damaged during the 1979 war with China. We’ll stay overnight at 2 stars hotel in Ha Giang City.
DAY 5: THE WEEKEND MARKET – 150 km

The locals are also very friendly who welcome strangers like honored guests and may treat you their special dish: Thang Co (horse meat hot-pot). The residents of this mountainous region consist mainly of ethnic minorities with a major of Hmong, Tay, Dao and Nung ethnic groups. Each of the ethnic group has its unique custom in term of wedding, worship, festivals or funeral. To illustrate, a Hmong groom can only get married only if he can rob his wife but no one know about his action to be successful pass the trial. DAY 6: SA PA – 180 km
Snow fell more in Sapa, Lao Cai province during last few years. In the winter sunlight, Sapa was beautiful and fanciful like the winter landscape in Europe. The dry season is from January to June with March to May the best time to visit. Temperatures in January and February are regularly around 0ºC. The rainy season falls in June and August. September marks the end of the rainy season which is a good time to visit then by mid-December temperatures start to fall significantly making this September to mid-December period the best time to be there. So we recommend you should choose the right time to do this great trip. Enjoy the brilliant travel along the 2,500m high mountains with amazing views. Stay overnight at warmly hotel at the center of Sapa town.
DAY 7: RETURN TO HA NOI
In the morning we’ll ride to visit the famous Skygate which is on the top of the 2,500m high mountain, it’s one of the most beautiful roads in Viet Nam. We also will visit some minority villages – Sapa is such a colorful town thanks to Hmong and Dao people from local hill tribes who head into the town’s market every day to trade their produce – the weekend market every Saturday. They sell clothing and handicrafts which are popular with tourists. Our trip will return to Ha Noi or you can choose to stay here. End tour.
